A truly remarkable and satisfying evening!
James Garner’s robust resemblance to the “Man in Black” and the band’s authenticity of its signature sound is uncanny. He looks the part, but not too much, and caresses the mannerisms and style of play with reverence.
Garner effortlessly guided the audience, weaving a story of the whole man in efficient, natural interludes between songs. He reached deep into Cash’s legacy highlighting early or formative moments of a career—jogging fans memories with familiar songs as well as the many hits we anticipate in any tribute to the “Man in Black.”
